Artist Statement:

Water has a very unique role in human society, it is necessary for our survival and a force of
nature therefore we struggle to contain it. Water is one of Mother Nature’s workers slowly and
patiently wearing away our structures and consuming any place we do not constantly upkeep.
The act of returning materials to their natural state and breaking them down to more elemental
form I believe is a fascinating quality. Cracking cement and stone, making room for plants and
insects, rotting wood, rusting iron and decomposing just about anything non synthetic.
It is one of nature’s attempts at balancing humans changing the natural landscape and the photographs here, show not only the damage done to nature by our structures but natures attempt at taking it back.

THANKS TO EVERYONE THAT CAME, WE HAD A GREAT PARTY...
